Relief From Humid Heat Expected In Delhi-NCR, Rain Likely Today
The Meteorological Department has forecast that Thursday will be partly cloudy with chances of rain.
The weather in Delhi and its surrounding areas has been quite unusual lately. At times there is scorching sunshine, and at other times light rain, making the weather a mix of both. Recent showers and the play of clouds have forced Delhiites to deal with humid heat.
The Meteorological Department has forecast the likelihood of rain today. The forecast says Delhi will be cloudy on Thursday and there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 35 to 36°C, while the minimum will likely be at 24 to 25°C.
As per the Meteorological Department, Wednesday also witnessed the same trend of sun and cloud cover during the day. The day's maximum was 36°C, 2 degrees more than usual, and the night's minimum was 25°C, around 0.7 degrees short of usual. There was a variation of 92% to 61% in humidity in the air. While light rain was received by the Safdarjung area alone, other areas of the city were cloudy without rain.
Apart from that, light rain and thundershowers are also predicted on August 22. But the weather could deteriorate further on August 23 and 24. During these two days, most areas of Delhi and NCR will likely experience cloudy conditions with light to moderate rains, while a few places will even get heavy showers.
