Rain Cools Delhi-NCR: Light Chill in Mornings and Evenings, More Showers Expected Today
Weather in Delhi-NCR has totally changed and the winter chill has arrived. Having faced hot weathers in the past few days, the city welcomed October with rain, bringing a welcome change in climate. Occasional showers persist, causing a drastic fall in temperature. Those who had been dependent on air conditioners and coolers are now turning them off, as fans also stay idle. The cool breeze along with the rain has given the residents of Delhi a pleasant sense of mild winter, especially during the nights when the chill feels stronger. The weather department has also issued a rain alert for several parts of Delhi-NCR today, ensuring that the pleasant and cool conditions will continue.
Winter Knocks in Delhi
There has been rain in Delhi over the last few days, and with this, a significant cooling of the air can be experienced. Only the other day, individuals were dependant on coolers and air conditioners in order to escape the heat, but now these have been turned off in the majority of homes. There is a welcome shiver in the morning and the evening, which means the residents are pulling out warm clothes and blankets.
The city's temperature has sharply went down. While the temperature recently reached at 37°C, it is now hovering at 30°C in a span of only two to three days. The lowest temperature has also dropped by some 6 degrees and is stabilizing at 21°C. The India Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rainfall in Delhi today, which may further decrease the temperature and make the cold stronger. Meteorologists have forecast that this winter, Delhi can expect to have a particularly severe winter.
NCR Weather Update
From Delhi to Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Noida and Gurugram the spell of rain is continued. The wind and rainfall had made weather condition cool and pleasant. During morning and evening the winter chill is being felt by residents. The IMD has issued an alert of rain in these four areas. Along with cool breeze, rain is also forecasted. Talking about the temperature in Faridabad and Gurugram, the highest temperature could be around 31 degrees Celsius, and the lowest temperature can be 21 degrees Celsius. Noida and Ghaziabad will likely record highest temperature 31 and the lowest 21 degrees Celsius. Rain will lower the temperatures further.
Weather Outlook for Coming Days
As per the weather department, rain in Delhi-NCR is likely to cease from October 9 onwards, with fairer skies ahead. Once rain stops, temperatures are set to increase again under sunny skies, restoring mild day warmth — albeit mornings and evenings will continue to be cool and pleasant.
