Delhi Wakes Up to Rain and a Hint of Winter Chill
Light rain was recorded across Delhi-NCR on Monday and early Tuesday, bringing a cool breeze and the season’s first hint of chill.
Delhi woke up to rain this morning. Today early morning, parts of the capital and its surrounding areas experienced light rain, with some of them being accompanied by thunder, others by light to moderate. The rain was accompanied by lightning and gales blowing at 30–40 km/h. The weather cooled down, and the light night coolness compelled people to switch off their air conditioners and coolers. The showers also brought down the temperature, and with the ongoing rain, Delhi is expected to soon experience the first touch of winter. Let’s further know the weather condition today in Delhi.
Delhi Weather Update
Delhi and surrounding regions can expect rain along with strong wind and thunderstorm. IMD has warned Gurugram and Faridabad with light to moderate rain possibilities under a yellow alert. Noida and Ghaziabad are also warned under an orange alert where moderate to heavy rain and wind can be expected.
How Long Will the Rain Last?
Delhi NCR will remain without any rainfall on Wednesday. The day could be cloudy with a maximum of 32 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature could be around 21 degrees Celsius. From October 9, the city will experience clear sky with no chance of rain till 12 October. During the time, highest temperature may reach up to 33 degrees Celsius and while the minimum temperature can be between 21 to 22 degrees Celsius.
Mild chill felt in Delhi at night
Residents of Delhi was under extreme heat and humid but after light showers, the weather condition has become pleasant and brought relief from heat. On Monday, the weather in Delhi took a turn and the sky got covered with clouds since morning. Several areas experienced intermittent light rain throughout the day, due to which season’s first mild chill felt during night. Yesterday the maximum temperature was recorded 26.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature stood at 20.6 degrees Celsius.
