FedEx and One Tree Planted Join Hands to Plant 23,000 Trees Across India
FedEx, in partnership with One Tree Planted, supported the plantation of over 23,000 trees across India.
FedEx Corp, the express transportation company, has taken step toward environmental sustainability in collaboration with One Tree Planted under its global community engagement program, FedEx Cares, supported the planting of over 23,000 native, climate-resilient trees across 2.2 hectares in India.
This initiative will benefit more than 15,000 people living in surrounding areas and the trees themselves will remove and store approximately 466 metric tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere over time.
Beyond its environmental impact, the effort also served as an educational experience, underscoring the importance of biodiversity, carbon sequestration, and community-led conservation for FedEx team members and community volunteers alike.
