Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils continues its decade-long support for ‘Run for a Girl Child’ in Hyderabad, organising a flash mob ahead of the March 1, 2026, event to boost participation and support girls’ education.
Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils, the flagship brand of Gemini Edibles and Fats India Ltd., has continued its decade-long partnership with Seva Bharati Telangana to support the ‘Run for a Girl Child’ initiative, aimed at facilitating education for girls from underprivileged backgrounds.
A flash mob featuring beneficiary students was organised at Sattva Knowledge City in Hyderabad to raise awareness and encourage registrations for the annual run scheduled for March 1, 2026, at Gachibowli Stadium.
The event was held in association with Sattva Knowledge City, an office asset of Knowledge Realty Trust, which supported the initiative as a philanthropy partner. Organisers said the flash mob was designed to highlight the impact of the programme over the past 10 years and the role of participants in supporting access to education, healthcare, and skill development for girls from economically weaker sections.
According to the organisers, the initiative has supported more than 10,000 girls over the past decade. A portion of each participant’s registration fee contributes to the education and welfare of a girl child enrolled in the programme.
P. Chandra Shekhara Reddy, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing at Gemini Edibles and Fats India Ltd., said educating girls can contribute to long-term social and economic development. He urged residents of Hyderabad to participate in the run to expand the initiative’s outreach.
Chetan Pimpalkhute, General Manager – Marketing, Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils, said the campaign seeks to connect health awareness with social responsibility by promoting active lifestyles alongside educational support for girls.
Smt. Dr. Sumalatha, Vice President, Seva Bharati Telangana, said the programme channels a significant portion of each runner’s contribution towards supporting a girl child’s education and related needs. She called for increased public participation to strengthen the initiative’s impact.
The ‘Run for a Girl Child’ campaign has been conducted annually in Hyderabad and focuses on mobilising citizens to contribute towards long-term educational access for girls from underserved communities.
Registrations for the March 1 event are currently open, with organisers aiming to widen participation across the city to extend support to more beneficiaries.
