In some places like Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttarakhand, and West Uttar Pradesh, even very heavy rain is expected. IMD has also forecast heavy showers in East Rajasthan, Jharkhand, and along the Konkan-Goa coast. In Himachal Pradesh, rain hit hard on Monday, leading the IMD to issue an orange alert in several districts. The state could see more heavy showers today.

In Delhi, the weather has finally cooled down after Monday’s rainfall. Temperatures dropped noticeably which is giving people a relief from the intense summer heat. Due to light rainfall waterlogging is caused across the city.

The capital city is set to experience moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning today, says report. While there is no weather alert for Delhi itself, a yellow alert has been issued for nearby areas like Ghaziabad, Noida (Gautam Budh Nagar), Faridabad, and Gurugram, where heavier rain is expected.

The maximum temperature was in the range of 29-31°C, which is about 6.8°C below average. Whereas the minimum temperature was in between 23-26°C, also cooler than usual by nearly 3°C. The temperatures are lower than normal for this time of year.

Overall, Rainfall has been spotted light over the last 24 hours. Places like Safdarjung recorded just 2.5 mm rainfall, while Palam and Ayanagar saw heavier rainfall. However, humidity remains high, with levels peaking at 98%, making the air feel sticky but fresh. Winds are variable, blowing gently at around 4 km/h, adding to the cool comfort.

Looking ahead, IMD say, same weather will be continued in Delhi NCR including Noida, Gurugram. Also, there is no sign of extreme heat, and the temperature will stay between 31–34°C during the day and 24–28°C at night.

IMD has alerted residents to stay alert and be prepared for occasional rain. So, if you're heading out, keep an umbrella handy! Monsoon is here, and it's making its presence felt across North and Central India.
