ITC continues to coordinate its business strategy with broad climatic goals, contributing to cleaner energy systems and more resource -efficient infrastructure
As the world marks Earth Day 2025 with the theme “Our Power, Our Planet, "Our Power, Our Planet" theme, ITC Limited has repeated its commitment to renewable energy and permanent development. The Indian group continues to strengthen its low -carbon strategy by using clean energy in operations.
According to stability 2.0 vision, ITC has set a target to meet 100% of its power requirements from renewable sources by 2030. As the 2023-24 financial year, more than half of ITC's total energy consumption were already obtained from renewable sources including sun, wind and wind and biomass.
Last year, the company had its second public solar facility in Karnataka - India had such a fourth such function. With a capacity of 9.45 MW, the plant is spread over 26 acres and is expected to generate around 15 million units of renewable energy annually. This initiative is expected to reduce more than 12,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year. The plant will supply about 90% of the power requirements for the operation of ITC in Karnataka.
ITC's renewable energy capacity now exceeds 200 MW in solar and wind power projects. Roofing solar systems are also implemented in their integrated FMCG facilities in states such as Uttarakhand, Telangana, Vest -bengal, Tamil Nadu and Punjab.
In the hospitality region, 12 ITC hotels are the first in the world to receive zero carbon certification, while 8 has achieved the Leed Zero Water certification, reflecting the efforts to integrate stability into the main operations.
With these features, ITC continues to coordinate its business strategy with broad climatic goals, contributing to cleaner energy systems and more resource -efficient infrastructure.
