Maxvolt To Set Up Lithium Battery Recycling Plant In Aligarh

Maxvolt Energy on Monday announced that it has received a land acquisition letter from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to establish a lithium battery recycling and repurposing facility in Aligarh.

Through this initiative, Maxvolt aims to reduce India’s dependence on imported lithium raw materials and promote closed-loop battery lifecycle management—supporting both energy independence and environmental sustainability.

CEO of Maxvolt Energy, Satendra Shukla, said, "We are honored to receive the land acquisition letter from CM Yogi. This facility would not only approach environmental challenges of the greatest importance but also enhance local employment and foster innovation within the state."

Maxvolt Energy has got 23,524 square meters of land in Aligarh to build a modern, high-tech plant for recycling and reusing lithium batteries. This new location is close to their current factory in Ghaziabad, which will help make the supply process easier and ensure both sites work well together.

Adding to the vision, Maxvolt Energy's Co-Founder & CTO, Vishal Gupta, stated, "This project is a milestone for Maxvolt and for India's green energy aspirations. We want to establish an ecosystem that supports the environment as well as the economy."

This collaboration of Maxvolt Energy is a new chapter in the state's sustainable industrial development and clean technology innovation.
