Over 55,000 Rural Women Benefit from PepsiCo India’s RevolutioNari Program

PepsiCo India, in collaboration with Mrida Heart ‘N Soil Foundation, has implemented a women-focused skilling and livelihood development program across rural India. The initiative has engaged over 55,000 women in 272 villages across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, supporting sustainable livelihoods through training and structured pathways from awareness to entrepreneurship.

The program provides skill development in areas such as tailoring, khakhra production, soap and incense stick making, beauty and wellness services, natural farming, agri and food processing, jewellery making, and mehendi and nail art, aligned with local demand and income opportunities. Over 4,800 women have been equipped with market-relevant skills, while 25 participants have established micro-enterprises. Around 2,000 training sessions have been conducted to transfer knowledge, build confidence, and strengthen local leadership.

Part of PepsiCo India’s RevolutioNari program, the initiative seeks to address rural skilling gaps and promote livelihood opportunities. Building on current momentum, the program plans to expand to 1,000 villages across more than 15 States and Union Territories. Participants have reported improvements in skill levels, financial decision-making, and entrepreneurial confidence, contributing to stronger community engagement and local leadership. Expansion will continue in coordination with partner organisations, government agencies, and local stakeholders to support sustainable livelihoods for rural women.
