PM Mitra Park: Uttar Pradesh’s Step Toward Sustainable Industrial Growth

The upcoming PM Mitra Park, being built across Lucknow and Hardoi, is set to become one of Uttar Pradesh’s most sustainable industrial projects. Developed under the Government of India’s PM MITRA (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) scheme, the park aims to connect economic growth with environmental care, setting an example for how industries and nature can thrive together.

According to the plan, around 55% of the land will be used for factories and industrial units, 11% will be reserved for greenery which include trees, landscaped gardens, and buffer zones. To utilize water efficiently, 2% of the land will be used for drainage networks and reservoirs. The other 0.5% of the park will consist of recreational areas with open spaces where the residents and workers can rest. The rest of the land involves 3% for residential purposes, 4% for institutions, 2% for transportation, and 4% for basic services, and 13% for new and improved roads.

Authorities have revealed that the park will apply green building principles all along. The buildings will be made energy-efficient, rainwater will be recycled and harvested, and solar power will help provide clean electricity. Recycling systems for e-waste and other waste will also be present so that pollution is kept to a bare minimum. All these green steps will reduce the carbon footprint of the park and make it one of the cleanest industrial parks in the nation.

The project also shows Uttar Pradesh's goal of promoting industries without harming the environment. If the PM Mitra Park project is successfully implemented, it has the potential to be an example for the nation as a whole on maintaining industrial advancement and environment protection side by side. It is meant to demonstrate that factories, industries, and enterprises can expand without harming nature with the help of renewable energy.
