Mahakumbh Nagar, January 27:

The grand Mahakumbh at Prayagraj's Sangam has witnessed the culmination of more than 13 crore devotees and the grand Amrit Snan is ready at full scale. A whopping number of around 10 crore are believed to participate in a Holy dip in Triveni Sangam on January 29, 2025.

The Prayagraj Railway Division has made elaborate special arrangements for the smooth arrival and departure of passengers across all the stations in the city in view of the large number of devotees.
Around 10 crore people are expected to arrive in Prayagraj for the Amrit Snan of Mauni Amavasya. Since January 25, approximately 1 crore passengers have been arriving daily for the Mahakumbh.

With the aim of maintaining the safety and smooth flow of such a large number of devotees, the Prayagraj Railway Division has announced a special plan with some restrictions. Arrangements will be made a day in advance and two days thereafter for the Mauni Amavasya bathing festival.".

On the festival day, entry into Prayagraj Junction would be allowed from the city side, through platform number-. Only exit would be from the Civil Lines side, through platform number 6. Reserved passengers with pre-booked tickets would be allowed entry through the city-side gate number 5, and unreserved passengers would enter direction-wise, color-coded shelters.

Besides accommodating shelter, the following will be available in these shelters: unreserved ticket counters, ATMs, and mobile ticketing services. A special holding area has been arranged at Khusro Bagh, and it can accommodate up to 1 lakh people.
Special arrangements have been made at key railway stations during the festival of Mauni Amavasya for the smooth passing of passengers. While at Naini Junction, entry shall be allowed only from Station Road and exit from goods shed.

Reserved passengers will have an exclusive entry from Gate Number 2.  Passengers will enter only from COD Road, which connects to the Prayagraj-Mirzapur highway, and exit from G.E.C. Naini Road at Prayagraj Cheoki Station.

Reserved passengers would be allowed entry into the platforms through gate No. 2 at Subedarganj Station. Here, entry would be from Jhalwa-Kaushambi Road and exit towards GT Road. Reserved passengers would enter from gate No. 3.

Color-coded shelters have been deployed at all stations for unreserved passengers to ensure orderly movements of the passengers. Each such shelter, as categorized and assigned by their respective colors, each color represents distinct routes.

Passengers will be taken to the platforms in an orderly fashion from these shelters, depending upon their tickets. Special regular and fair special trains will be organized to reach the passengers to their destinations, making it easy and managing crowds properly for everyone.

Mahakumbh Nagar, January 27:

Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with all maths, temples, and Akharas, took a holy dip in Triveni Sangam on Monday.

The entire ritual process was guided by the saintly community who were performing their traditional puja-archana and sprinkling Maa Ganga's holy water onto Home Minister Amit Shah, with Vedic mantras and the chanting.

After the sacred bath, Home Minister and Chief Minister performed a special puja and participated in the Sangam Aarti on the site. Sonal Shah, his wife; Jai Shah, his son; daughter-in-law; and granddaughters accompanied Amit Shah in the holy rituals, where it became an occasion for all of them by being together steeped in the spirituality.

A symbol of tradition and respect, this was given to Home Minister Kumbh Kalash on this grand day by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This grandeur for sanctification was offered along with other traditional gifting done among the home minister by a garland of flowers, chandan paste and tilak given by the community of saints.

Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, both in saffron robes, took the holy dip together at Triveni Sangam. The noted saints who accompanied them were Juna Peethadheeshwar Avdheshanand, Niranjani Peethadheeshwar Kailashanand, Akhada Parishad President Ravindra Puri, and Baba Ramdev.

The noted saints performed Vedic rituals by sprinkling the water of the Holy Sangam upon the Home Minister. Later, the Home Minister offered 'Arghya' to the Sun.

The Tirtha purohits then performed an exclusive puja for both Home Minister and the Chief Minister in the Sangam site, culminating with a grand Aarti at Sangam. Earsplitting cries of Maa Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati resounded with reverberation throughout the sacrosanct place.

The blessings from the saints reached down to the youngest members of the Shah family too. Chief Minister Yogi was clicked in a jovial scene with the children. The thunderous Har Har Mahadev mantras accompanied Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath as they offered their devotions to Maa Ganga and Lord Bhaskar.

After a holy dip in the Sangam, Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed prayers and worship amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras and shlokas. Following the worship, a grand Sangam Aarti was conducted, in which the Home Minister's entire family, including his wife, son, and daughter-in-law, participated in the rituals.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath subsequently gifted a silver Kumbh Kalash to the Home Minister and then headed towards Akshay Vat along with him.

Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Avdheshanand Giri of Juna Akhara, Peethadheeshwar Kailashanand of Niranjani Akhara, Baba Ramdev, Akhada Parishad President Ravindra Puri, Harigiri of Juna Akhara, and senior Mahants of other Akharas were among the prominent sadhus who also witnessed the religious ceremony.

Earlier, Home Minister and CM Yogi came to the VIP Ghat Arail and boarded the cruise towards the Sangam, where he paid obeisance to Maa Ganga. They fed Siberian birds. He also had a special discussion with Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Avdheshanand, Mahant Hari Giri, and Mahant Prem Giri in a private room on the cruise on Mahakumbh preparations.

In Sangam snan, Satua Baba and Baba Ramdev assisted Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the ritual bath. After this bathe, Swami Ramdev guided Chief Minister in the 'Tadasana', one such special pose during yoga.
