Swan Defence and Heavy Industries Limited (SDHI) organised a multi-speciality medical camp in Rajula and Jafrabad, Amreli district, providing consultations, screenings, cataract services and healthcare support to around 800 residents.
Swan Defence and Heavy Industries Limited (SDHI), along with Mahatma Gandhi Arogya Mandir Trust Hospital in Rajula, conducted a multi-speciality medical camp for residents of Rajula, Jafrabad and nearby villages.
The camp saw participation from around 800 people who received medical consultations and healthcare services from specialists in General Medicine, Ophthalmology, Oncology and Neurology.
Doctors conducted health check-ups, diagnostic tests and screenings during the programme. Cataract screening was carried out, and surgeries were arranged for patients requiring treatment. Free near-vision spectacles were distributed, while medicines were provided to patients based on medical advice.
Medical professionals also offered counselling on common health concerns and preventive care. Residents were informed about the importance of regular health check-ups and early diagnosis of diseases.
The camp was organised in association with Mahatma Gandhi Arogya Mandir Trust Hospital, which is managed by Shri Ramkrushna Arogya Seva Trust. Specialists and healthcare workers from different departments participated in the initiative.
According to the organisers, the camp was aimed at making specialist healthcare services available to residents of the region, particularly those who may face difficulties accessing such facilities.
The healthcare initiative forms part of SDHI's community outreach activities in areas surrounding its operations. The company has undertaken programmes in healthcare, education, skill development and social welfare.
Medical camps continue to serve as an important means of providing basic and specialist healthcare services in semi-urban and rural areas, where access to medical facilities is often limited.
