Suzlon Group Commits to 100% Renewable Energy at All Units by 2030

Suzlon Group, India's original wind turbine maker, is aiming to power its entire operation with renewable energy by 2030. It's a big step for Indian companies working toward net-zero emissions.

Suzlon's plan is to set up solar, wind, and battery storage at its factories, offices, and shipping centers. They'll set goals each year to make sure they're on track to hit the 2030 mark.

The plan involves investing in large solar farms, adding small wind turbines right on-site, and making deals with other companies for green power. Suzlon's people are also working to save energy in how they make things. The company also plans to switch out gas vehicles for electric ones.

This green move is part of Suzlon's wider environmental, social, and governance (ESG) try to cut down on its carbon, water use and waste. To be open, Suzlon will have outside people check their progress and put out reports and data dashboards each year to show how they're doing.

By going all-in on clean energy, Suzlon wants to pull in customers from around the world, investors who care about the environment, and talented people in renewable energy. The company thinks that teamwork will help India reach its climate targets faster and encourages others to set similar targets.

There will be some challenges like grid reliability, getting land for renewable projects, sourcing batteries, and dealing with the changing output of renewable energy. Even so, Suzlon's leaders are setting a great standard for green manufacturing in Asia.
