India’s leading B2B exhibition for technical textiles, nonwovens, and composites, Techtextil India, is set to return to Mumbai from 19 to 21 November 2025. The event at the Bombay Exhibition Centre comes at a time of significant growth for the sector, with the Ministry of Textiles reporting technical textiles exports reaching USD 2.92 billion in the 2024–25 financial year.
The 10th edition of the exhibition will feature more than 215 exhibitors, including over 100 first-time participants. International companies from Belgium, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Sweden, and the USA will also be present, highlighting the event's global reach. The exhibition will showcase over 500 products and 300 brands, providing a comprehensive overview of the industry.
The Indian technical textiles sector is demonstrating strong global demand, particularly in industrial and packaging applications. Packtech led exports with a 37.5% share, followed by Indutech at 28%. Exports to the UK were valued at USD 136 million, accounting for 4.7% of the total, underscoring India's integration into international supply chains.
The event will take a multi-functional approach this year, integrating several new features. A key addition is the Dornbirn Global Fiber Conference Asia, which will make its India debut on 18th November, a day before the main exhibition opens. This conference is recognised for its focus on research-driven fibre innovation.
Concurrent conferences will address key industry themes. The Techtextil India conference, powered by the Indian Technical Textile Association (ITTA), will host sessions on ‘Smart Solutions for Key Segments,’ focusing on geotextiles, agrotextiles, and industrial textiles. Another conference, organised by the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) India, will explore ‘Creating Tomorrow’s Circular Supply Chains,’ examining technology and collaboration for recycling textiles and plastics.
A dedicated Sporttech Pavilion, organised in partnership with Concept N Strategies, will highlight innovations in fabrics for sports and activewear. This segment will feature a conference on building a global ecosystem for premium activewear in India. The exhibition has also expanded its focus into Mobiltech (mobility textiles), Buildtech (construction textiles), and Oekotech (eco-friendly textiles).
This industry evolution is supported by recent government initiatives. The Ministry of Textiles has introduced amendments to the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles, specifically targeting the man-made fibre (MMF) and technical textiles segments. The revisions aim to improve the ease of doing business, attract new investments, and generate employment, aligning with the broader ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India) vision.
Domestic industry leaders confirmed to exhibit include Aditya Birla Yarns, Reliance, Welspun, and Pidilite. They will be joined by international machinery and material specialists such as Germany’s Autefa Solution, Brückner Textile Technologies, and Pulcra Chemicals.
The event has garnered support from key industry bodies, including the Manmade & Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council (MATEXIL), the Indian Technical Textile Association (ITTA), and the Department of Textiles, Government of Maharashtra. The Government of Tamil Nadu is the Partner State for the Dornbirn Global Fiber Conference Asia.
As India’s textile industry pivots towards high-value, sustainable, and globally competitive production, platforms like Techtextil India 2025 are crucial for fostering the innovation and collaboration needed to solidify the country's position as a leader in the global functional textile landscape.
