Textiles Ministry Observes Swachhata Hi Seva 2025

The Ministry of Textiles and its affiliated organizations marked Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 with a series of initiatives across India to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental awareness.

At Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi, the Ministry conducted a Poster Making Competition on September 29, 2025. Division heads also reviewed cleanliness in various sections of the Ministry and encouraged employees to adopt hygienic practices.

The Jute Corporation of India Limited (JCI) launched the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, planting more than 500 saplings across its offices in India.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) carried out a “Weeding of Files” activity across its campuses to ensure better records management.

The National Jute Board (NJB) distributed over 250 jute masks and 300 eco-friendly jute bags during the campaign in New Town, Kolkata.

 

The Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) supported Safai Mitras by distributing sanitizers, gloves, dusters, and masks.

The Central Silk Board (CSB) organized a Medical and Health Camp, which saw participation from scientists, staff, students, project assistants, and Safai Mitras, who received health check-ups.

These activities reflect the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to Swachh Bharat, sustainable practices, and community well-being.
