The WattPower Foundation extends the company's 'Wired for Good' philosophy through purpose-led initiatives focused on women's empowerment, education, menstrual health and animal welfare, creating long-term environmental and social value
WattPower Systems, a leading company in the renewable energy industry, today announced the official launch of its CSR arm, WattPower Foundation, marking a new chapter in the company's commitment to creating a positive impact beyond clean energy. The Foundation will strive to strengthen communities through programs that increase access, generate opportunities, and bring about long-lasting change, all under the direction of its Wired for Good concept.
The Foundation will concentrate on four major areas that are central to its mission: education, menstruation health, animal welfare, and women's empowerment. These priority areas are a reflection of the idea that genuine change starts with supporting those in need and providing opportunity for people to live better lives.
Smriti Agrawal, Chairperson, WattPower Foundation, shared her vision by saying, "The WattPower Foundation is deeply personal to me because every cause we support comes from something I have witnessed or experienced. Over the years, I realised that meaningful change often begins with simple acts of care and the willingness to stand beside those who need us the most. Through this Foundation, we hope to create opportunities that help people move forward with confidence and dignity. If we can make even a small difference in someone's life, we believe it is a responsibility worth taking."
Initiatives in all four of the Foundation's core areas have already started to receive assistance. It has helped build classrooms that give kids a better learning environment in collaboration with Round Table India. It has worked to increase women's and girls' access to reusable sanitary napkins and menstrual health awareness in collaboration with Project Baala and SP Seva Sansthan. The Foundation has demonstrated its dedication to compassion in all its manifestations by supporting the care and feeding of stray animals through its collaboration with Friendicoes.
As the Foundation grows, it will continue to work with government bodies, educational institutions, implementation partners and community organisations to expand its reach and create lasting impact across India.
