World Environment Day 2025: Vihaan Clean & Green Tech Plants 400 Trees in Mehsana

On June 5, 2025, Vihaan Clean & Green Tech Pvt. Ltd., a leading common boiler and effluent treatment facility in Mehsana, Gujarat, marked World Environment Day by planting over 400 native trees on its campus. The initiative, held in collaboration with the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) and attended by GPCB Regional Officer Dilip M Rathod, underscores the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability. In line with the 2025 World Environment Day theme, “Beat Plastic Pollution,” Vihaan also introduced measures to eliminate single-use plastics and promote sustainable practices, contributing to a cleaner and greener Mehsana.

The plantation drive featured a diverse selection of native tree species, including Rain Tree, Gulmohar, Peltophorum, Lagistromia, Cordia, Spethodia, Champa, Terminalia, Kasid, Saptaparni, and Kachnar. These trees were chosen for their ability to enhance biodiversity, sequester carbon, and provide shade, improving the local microclimate. The initiative is part of Vihaan’s broader efforts to integrate environmental responsibility into its operations. The company has eliminated single-use plastics across its facility and conducted awareness workshops for employees and nearby industrial units to encourage sustainable practices. These efforts align with global and local goals to reduce plastic pollution and promote eco-friendly industrial practices.

Vihaan Clean & Green Tech operates one of India’s largest and most advanced Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETP), located behind Fanidhar Mega Food Park in Mehsana. With a total capacity of 10 million liters per day (MLD), implemented in three phases (3 MLD + 3 MLD + 4 MLD), the plant uses European technology to recycle wastewater to IS 10500 drinking water standards. Additionally, Vihaan’s 40 TPH steam boilers supply steam to nearby food processing industries, supporting sustainable industrial operations. This facility addresses the water scarcity challenges in Gujarat by promoting water conservation and a circular economy, setting a benchmark for environmentally responsible industrial development.

The collaboration with GPCB highlights Vihaan’s role in advancing Gujarat’s environmental goals. The presence of GPCB’s Regional Officer at the event emphasized the importance of industry-led initiatives in tackling environmental challenges. Vihaan’s efforts to expand green cover and reduce plastic usage demonstrate a model for other industrial players to follow. By combining advanced wastewater treatment with initiatives like tree plantation and plastic reduction, Vihaan is contributing to sustainable development in a region critical for India’s food processing industry. The company’s focus on sustainability extends beyond World Environment Day, reflecting a long-term commitment to environmental stewardship.

In conclusion, Vihaan Clean & Green Tech’s World Environment Day 2025 initiative in Mehsana showcases its dedication to environmental sustainability. By planting 400 native trees, eliminating single-use plastics, and operating an advanced effluent treatment facility, Vihaan is setting an example for industrial sustainability in Gujarat. The collaboration with GPCB and the focus on water conservation and pollution control highlight the potential for industries to drive positive environmental change. Vihaan’s efforts contribute to a cleaner, greener future for Mehsana and serve as a model for sustainable industrial practices across India.
