A Citizen Lounge cum New Age Learning Centre has been inaugurated at the New Delhi District Magistrate Office to improve public amenities and provide learning resources for civil service aspirants.

Citizen Lounge and Learning Centre Inaugurated at New Delhi DM Office

A Citizen Lounge cum New Age Learning Centre (NALC) was inaugurated at the District Magistrate Office in New Delhi on Tuesday. The facility was inaugurated by Rekha Gupta, Chief Minister of Delhi, in the presence of Neeraj Semwal, Divisional Commissioner, New Delhi, Sunny Kumar Singh, District Magistrate, New Delhi, and other officials.

The facility has been developed by Elan Foundation and is designed to serve two purposes. It aims to improve amenities for citizens visiting the District Magistrate Office while also providing a learning space for civil service aspirants. The centre includes a citizen lounge and a learning facility equipped for individuals preparing for competitive examinations.

According to officials, the initiative seeks to enhance the public service experience at the District Magistrate Office and provide access to educational resources for aspirants.

Speaking at the inauguration, Rekha Gupta, Chief Minister of Delhi, said, “This is a very important good governance effort that has been started here. It will ensure that citizens visiting the District Magistrate Office have access to better facilities and an improved public service experience.”

Sunny Kumar Singh, District Magistrate, New Delhi, said, “The Citizen Lounge cum New Age Learning Centre will significantly enhance the experience of citizens visiting the District Magistrate Office while simultaneously creating a valuable knowledge resource for civil service aspirants. Such initiatives encourage collaboration towards building accessible infrastructure and providing individuals with better opportunities to learn, prepare and progress.”

Officials said the initiative is intended to support public infrastructure and educational access while addressing the needs of visitors to the District Magistrate Office and candidates preparing for civil service examinations.
