Delhi is expected to witness partly cloudy skies today, with the maximum temperature likely to reach around 34°C. The weather department has also forecast light rain or drizzle on March 15.

Cloudy Skies in Delhi Today; Light Drizzle Likely Amid Scorching Heat

The weather in Delhi and the neighbouring National Capital Region, will again undergo a change on 14 March 2006, according to a recent update from the India Meteorological Department. The cloud pattern will be partly cloudy on this date. Although it will be sunny for many hours of the day, not as great a temperature rise will occur due to the presence of the clouds.

 Warm Days, Pleasant Nights

The maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to be around 34 degrees and it will be warm during the daytime, the strong sunshine will contribute to warmth at midday and the lowest temperature may be around 17 degrees, as night will feel cooler.  The air will have 30% to 80% humidity, so it might feel a bit sticky or uncomfortable in the afternoon when it’s hot and humid.

Possibility of Rain on March 15

There is potential for light rain or drizzle on March 15, 2023, for certain parts of the Delhi Nasional Capital Region, due to an incoming Western Disturbance weather system moving into the region; cloud cover due to these systems could result in a 1-2 degree C, temporary, decrease in the temperature and provide residents of Delhi with relief from the rising warmth.

Heat Likely to Rise in the Last Week of March

While it may remain pleasant due to cloudy conditions and light drizzle in the next three to four days, temperatures in Delhi are expected to increase again towards the end of March. Weather experts are of the view that after March 20, temperatures are expected to go above 35°C to 37°C. While there will be no heatwaves, temperatures are expected to increase.

Health Precautions During Changing Weather

Frequent changes in temperatures can be risky and may increase the chances of viral infections like colds and cough. Health experts suggest that people must stay hydrated and drink enough of water especially when going outside during daytime. It is also recommended to wear suitable clothing to help protect against the slight chill in the morning and evening. Additionally, it is also better to avoid very cold foods and drinks for the time being as they may cause health problems since the weather is changing.
