Delhi’s Air Quality Worsen, Haze to Persist for Next Few Days
In Delhi, fog may be visible in the mornings over the next few days. On October 19 and 20, several areas are likely to experience light mist as well.
In Delhi, light fog can be seen early morning for the next couple of days. According to the Meteorological Department, the early mornings from October 15 to 18 are expected to have fog and bright sunlight, clear sky across Delhi. There will also be light mist in several areas during the day on October 19 and 20. While on Tuesday, people of Delhi experienced same weather as previous day with bright sunlight and winter chill during the night. The highest temperature recorded were 32.6 degrees Celsius whereas the lowest stood at 19 degrees Celsius.
Minimum Temperature remain 18-20°C
Both the highest and the lowest temperatures recorded 6 degrees below normal temperature. The humidity level of humidity recorded between 35% and 94%. Today, the sky will remain clear, and the weather department has predicted light fog for the next few days. The maximum temperature is expected to stay between 31 to 33°C, and the minimum between 18 to 20°C.
Morning Chill Felt Throughout Delhi
Over the past two days, the winds blowing from the west have been blowing in Delhi. The Himalayan winds, which were previously running at a speed of 15 km per hour, have slowed to approximately 10 km/h. This slower wind speed reduces the ability of the atmosphere to diffuse pollution, and the pollution levels have been increased. In the last few days, even the minimum temperature has dropped and there is a slight winter-like cold that can be experienced late at night and early morning. From October 15 to 19, the maximum temperature will be between 32°C and 34°C and the minimum between 19°C and 22°C. So, the days will still be warm but there will be a chill in the air.
