Green Project has agreed to acquire Zeroute, integrating its supply-chain decarbonisation planning and modelling capabilities with Green Project's existing sustainability services.
Green Project Technologies, an ACT Group company, has signed an agreement to acquire Zeroute's software platform, expanding its capabilities in supply-chain decarbonisation planning and tier-n supply-chain modelling. The acquisition is expected to strengthen Green Project's sustainability offerings and support businesses in identifying pathways towards Net Zero across their operations and supply chains, particularly as companies prepare for the implementation of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Version 2.0 Standard.
The acquisition will combine Zeroute's planning and modelling capabilities with Green Project's carbon accounting, supply-chain engagement, and environmental attribute certificate (EAC) procurement services. According to the companies, the integrated platform is intended to support organisations in managing emissions and implementing decarbonisation strategies across their operations.
As part of the transaction, Steve Freeman, CEO and Founder of Zeroute, will join Green Project to oversee commercial adoption and strategic planning, while Gelmis Radeckis, Co-Founder and Head of Implementation, will lead product integration and engineering activities.
Founded in Cambridge, United Kingdom, Zeroute has developed an optimisation engine that uses mathematical modelling and AI-assisted analysis to assess emissions-reduction opportunities based on factors such as impact, feasibility, and cost. The platform analyses supply chains at the "tier-n" level by modelling product lifecycles from raw materials through to finished products, helping organisations evaluate potential emissions-reduction measures and their associated costs.
Chris Low, Head of Procurement Sustainability at Haleon, said that Zeroute's platform had helped the company assess emissions embedded within its global supply chain and identify potential approaches to reducing them through supplier engagement, physical solutions, and market-based instruments.
Green Project CEO Sam Stark said Zeroute's planning capabilities address a challenge faced by many organisations seeking to meet emissions-reduction targets by providing greater visibility into where actions can be prioritised and the potential costs associated with different measures.
Steve Freeman, CEO and Founder of Zeroute, said the acquisition would support the wider deployment of the company's technology through Green Project and ACT Group's international network and sustainability services.
The acquisition expands Green Project's sustainability management capabilities and follows its integration into ACT Group in 2023 and its acquisition of Emitwise in 2025. According to the company, the move supports ACT Group's broader strategy of providing climate-related services to businesses pursuing decarbonisation objectives.
