This plantation drive reflects our continued effort to strengthen green cover around our plant and contribute positively to the ecosystem, says the company
Steelmaker Jai Raj Ispat Limited, on Tuesday, said that it has planted nearly 400 saplings across 15,000 square metres at its Hyderabad plant as part of an effort to increase green cover around the facility.
Siddharth Jain, Executive Director, Jai Raj Ispat Limited, said, “This plantation drive reflects our continued effort to strengthen green cover around our plant and contribute positively to the ecosystem. Initiatives like these help us move towards a more responsible and balanced approach to development. We remain committed to taking such steps consistently as part of our long-term vision for responsible growth and environmental care, ensuring that our operations create value for both the environment and the community.”
The plantation includes mango, neem, badam and gulmohar trees. The company said all saplings were grown in its in-house nursery.
Rajshree Jain, Director, Jai Raj Ispat Limited, said, “By enhancing green cover within our plant premises, we are contributing to a healthier and more balanced ecosystem around our operations. We believe that small, consistent actions create lasting impact, and we will continue to support initiatives that encourage greener practices and responsible growth for the benefit of the community and future generations.”
Another plantation drive is planned for June.
For heavy industries such as steel, on-site plantation drives are increasingly being used to build green buffers around manufacturing units and improve local environmental conditions.
