Juniper Green Energy Commissions 64 MWp of Renewable Projects Ahead of Schedule
Juniper Green Energy has commissioned two renewable energy projects in Gujarat and Maharashtra totalling 64 MWp, with both the wind and solar components completed months ahead of their scheduled dates.
Juniper Green Energy Limited has announced the delivery of additional renewable energy capacity of approximately 64 MWp split across two projects one in Gujarat and the other in Maharashtra. Importantly, both projects were grid connected well ahead of the original Commercial Operation Dates (CODs) indicating a fast build pace.
In Gujarat, the company delivered a 28 MW portion of a 70 MW total capacity wind power project located in Devbhumi Dwarka district. The capacity was delivered to service on 15 October 2025 - approximately four months ahead of the original COD of 7 February 2026. The full project will provide power to GUVNL under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) entered into in January 2024.
Simultaneously, in Maharashtra, the company delivered the 36 MWp solar portion of a 133 MWp hybrid power project located in Nanded district. The solar project was commissioned on 12 October 2025 - approximately 13 months ahead of the original in-service date of November 2026. The power from this hybrid project will be supplied to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.
The anticipated early service of these clean renewable electricity projects means that we are supplying clean, renewable electricity to India's grid sooner than anticipated, which is in support of India's domestic energy needs and climate goals. Overall, the projects' implementation demonstrates an increased capability for speedy deployment of renewable infrastructure in India.
Juniper Green Energy develops and operates large scale renewable energy, utility-scale solar, wind, and hybrid projects, and continues to build on its operational portfolio with these additions to support India's national objective to grow their share of renewables in the energy mix.
