Godrej Enterprises Group will develop a 98 MW solar power plant in Sirsa, Haryana, which is expected to generate clean electricity and reduce carbon emissions.

New Solar Power Project to Come Up in Haryana’s Sirsa

Godrej Enterprises Group has secured an order to build a 98 MWp open-access solar power plant in Sirsa, Haryana.

This project has been allocated by Hexa Climate Solutions and will produce an estimated power output of 70 MW AC.

This project will be set up in Sirsa and will provide about 1,470 lakh kWh energy every year when it goes into production.

The company claims that it would cut the annual carbon dioxide emission by more than 75,000 tonnes. This has been compared to having almost 3.5 million trees planted.

Raghavendra Mirji said the project marks an important step in the company’s renewable energy business and will support industries looking for cleaner and more dependable power sources.

“This project is a proud milestone for us and reinforces our role in India’s renewable energy transition. For more than a hundred years, Godrej has been contributing to the nation’s progress through engineering excellence and sustainable innovation. By developing Haryana’s largest open-access solar installation, we are furthering that legacy while helping industries move towards cleaner and more reliable energy. The project will also generate local employment and strengthen regional infrastructure, supporting India’s broader growth agenda.”

The company said the solar plant will use bifacial TopCon solar modules and string inverters. It will also include smart monitoring systems to improve energy generation and operational efficiency.

The project is also expected to create jobs in the local area and involve regional partners during construction.

With this order, the business has expanded its solar portfolio further. It has already completed 98 MWp of solar projects across different parts of India.
