Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Secures Three Major Solar EPC Projects
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has announced three new EPC project wins, including two in India and one in South Africa, with a combined value of approximately INR 1,772 crore, bringing its total order inflows for the fiscal year to over INR 3,775 crore.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL), a prominent operator in renewable energy engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), reported the receipt of three significant contracts related to solar projects for a total of approximately INR 1,772 crore, greatly benefiting the company's order book this fiscal year.
SWREL has secured the lowest bidder (L1) price on two significant contracts located in India. The first project is a 363 MWp DC PV plant based in Rajasthan. The second and larger domestic project is a 580 MWp DC PV plant based in Uttar Pradesh. Both contracts will be based on carry out Balance of System (BOS) contracts excluding the solar panels and inclusive of everything else.
The third contract is an international project, in which SWREL received a Letter of Intent (LOI) for a new solar farm to be developed in South Africa, totaling 115 MWp DC, with a resultant estimated revenue of USD 120 million. It marks the third award SWREL has received for South Africa contracts demonstrating the company's strategic and ongoing growth in that region.
With these most recent contracts, SWREL's total EPC order inflows in this financial year had crossed INR 3,775 crore, indicating strong business momentum and a solid pipeline for a leading player in the global renewable energy EPC space. SWREL has an extensive and balanced portfolio of renewable energy projects consisting of over 24.4 GWp across the commissioning and construction stages, as well as a 9.1 GWp operations and maintenance portfolio.
The company has a very broad international presence in 28 countries, spanning India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Australia and the Americas. The new project contracts will strengthen SWREL's status as a significant global contractor in the utility-scale solar power market.
