Scorching Sun, Rising Humidity Grip Delhi-NCR As Monsoon Weakens
Delhi-NCR faces intense heat and humidity as monsoon activity slows, with only light rain expected over the next few days.
The monsoon has again slackened in Delhi-NCR. Currently, intense sunlight and increasing humidity are contributing to the discomfort of people. The weather feels as if the heat of May–June summer had returned. With the scorching sun and humid heat, people are feeling restless. The situation is likely to continue for 2–3 days, as per the Meteorological Department, with no relief from the heat.
Rain has almost stopped in the city. Though clouds are showing up and the weather appears prepared, the rain is nowhere to be seen. Due to this, temperatures in the majority of Delhi-NCR continue to be high. Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Greater Noida in the last 24 hours reported a highest temperature of 36 degrees Celsius. This is likely to remain same for the next couple of days.
