UFlex To Showcase Green Packaging At GCPRS 2025
UFlex to unveil food-grade recycled packaging and ReLAM 50 recycling tech at GCPRS 2025 in New Delhi

UFlex Limited, India’s largest multinational flexible packaging and solutions company, is set to showcase its latest sustainable innovations at the upcoming Global Conclave on Plastics Recycling and Sustainability (GCPRS) 2025. Scheduled to take place from June 17 to 20, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, the GCPRS event is a major international platform co-organized by the All India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA) and the Chemicals and Petrochemicals Manufacturers’ Association (CPMA). It aims to bring together industry leaders, innovators, and sustainability advocates to discuss advanced recycling technologies, promote responsible plastic usage, and foster circular economy initiatives across the plastics and petrochemicals sector.
UFlex’s participation in this premier industry event underscores its ongoing commitment to sustainable innovation and its leadership in creating environmentally responsible packaging solutions. The company will be presenting cutting-edge developments from its Packaging Films and Engineering businesses, both of which have made notable progress in creating technologies that reduce environmental impact while maintaining functional and safety standards required by global brands.
A key highlight from UFlex’s Packaging Films division is the introduction of a revolutionary “single-pellet solution,” a sustainable innovation that blends 30% or more recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) with virgin PET (vPET) to produce food-grade packaging material. This high-clarity, high-strength material addresses one of the industry’s most pressing concerns: how to incorporate recycled content into food-grade packaging without compromising safety, quality, or compatibility with existing manufacturing lines.
The solution stands out not only for its performance but also for its regulatory approval—it has received certification from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA), allowing its direct use in food contact applications. This certification is a significant industry milestone and positions UFlex as the only flexible packaging company in India with food-grade recycling certifications across PET, polyethylene (PE), and polypropylene (PP) categories. The “single-pellet solution” also boasts lower acetaldehyde levels compared to conventional materials, which helps maintain the taste and quality of the packaged contents. Moreover, it integrates seamlessly with existing PET lines, eliminating the need for costly upgrades or changes in manufacturing infrastructure. By offering a circular and certified packaging alternative, UFlex is enabling brands to meet their sustainability goals without compromising on performance or regulatory compliance.
Equally innovative is UFlex’s presentation from its Engineering division, which will demonstrate the ReLAM 50, a decentralized recycling technology that provides a scalable solution for processing mixed flexible plastic waste. This compact system has been designed to process up to 50 kilograms of flexible plastic waste per hour, making it highly accessible for smaller enterprises, rural industries, local recycling units, waste management companies, and even NGOs and municipal bodies looking to implement localized recycling strategies.
ReLAM 50 converts difficult-to-recycle, post-consumer flexible waste into usable recycled granules or panels. These outputs can then be used in various non-critical applications, such as the manufacturing of plastic household goods, tiles, plastic lumber, or other molded products. By facilitating the reuse of complex plastic waste streams that would otherwise end up in landfills or incineration plants, the ReLAM 50 supports grassroots participation in the circular economy. Its low operational complexity, flexible output options, and small-scale capacity make it an ideal fit for decentralized waste management and rural circular economy initiatives, offering an affordable, impactful solution to communities and businesses across India and beyond.
Through these innovations, UFlex continues to exemplify how sustainability can be embedded into the core of industrial innovation. By developing technologies that address environmental challenges while maintaining high-performance standards, the company is offering practical, scalable solutions to the global packaging crisis.
UFlex’s presence at GCPRS 2025 is not just a display of technical prowess but also a statement of intent—a reaffirmation of its long-standing commitment to shaping the future of packaging and recycling with a sustainability-first approach. Attendees of the event will be able to witness live demonstrations, interact with domain experts, and explore actionable pathways for creating a circular plastics economy.
The company invites all stakeholders, including industry professionals, environmentalists, brand owners, and policymakers, to visit its showcase at Booth D8, Hall No.6 during GCPRS 2025. Visitors will gain insights into cutting-edge technologies and discover how innovation, collaboration, and responsible practices can transform the plastics value chain. As the demand for sustainable packaging solutions accelerates globally, UFlex stands out as a pioneer committed to enabling that transition through constant innovation and responsible industrial leadership.
