V-Bazaar has launched its #InspiredByNature campaign, linking plans to expand from 130 to 250 stores to the creation of 250 Green Communities and a target to plant one lakh saplings by 2030.
In celebration of World Environment Day in 2026, V-Bazaar has introduced the #InspiredByNature initiative in connection with store expansions as well as plantation activities within India.
As part of the expansion plans, the retailer intends to boost its store numbers from 130 to 250 within four years. Each store expansion will involve the formation of a Green Community in the vicinity.
These communities will organise quarterly plantation activities for their stores and schools. Employees at these stores, students at these schools, and community residents are expected to participate.
The plan also involves the support of the planting of one lakh saplings by 2030. This would be achieved through both the existing stores and future expansions, the company stated.
The Chairman and MD of V-Bazaar, Hemant Agarwal, revealed that the initiative will go hand-in-hand with the retailer's plans for expansion. He pointed out that the company makes use of sustainable yarns in its apparel and intends to expand its application.
The initiative was announced during the celebration of World Environment Day on June 5.
The company said the Green Communities programme will operate through its store network. It did not disclose locations for the proposed communities or provide a year-wise plantation roadmap.
V-Bazaar currently operates 130 stores across seven states and serves customers in more than 100 cities. The retailer mainly caters to consumers in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and other emerging markets.
The company sells apparel for men, women and children through its retail outlets. According to V-Bazaar, its products are sourced directly and developed through in-house design teams.
Under the programme, future store openings will be linked to local plantation and community participation activities.
