Delhi’s February weather may feel pleasant, but air pollution remains severe, with AQI crossing 300 in several areas. Here’s a brief update on the weather and temperature for February 11 and the coming days.
Delhi-NCR is slowly feeling the shift into the ‘pink winter’ of February, characterized by mild winter conditions. Even though it is still covered by light haziness and fog at nights, bright sunshine through the day has been providing much-needed respite to Delhi residents. Temperatures have been rising, and conditions were similar to Monday too, with the second week of February being quite mixed for Delhiites.
The sky is expected to remain clear today, although there might be an occurrence of mist in some parts of the city in the morning, according to the latest bulletin by the weather department. On the pollution front, the data by CPCB revealed that the air quality had worsened on Tuesday. The AQI had crossed the 300 marks in over 10 places in the city on Monday.

Delhi and its nearby areas are having clear skies. Places like New Delhi, North Delhi, South-West Delhi, and Shahdara along with neighbouring cities of Faridabad, Gurugram, Noida, and Ghaziabad are also experiencing similar weather conditions. The good news for the people residing in Delhi-NCR is that there are no warnings for rain or severe weather conditions in the Delhi-NCR region for now, said the weather department.
The maximum temperature on February 12 is likely to be around 24°C to 26°C, while the minimum temperature may remain between 10°C to 12°C. As far as the temperature goes, there is not much change expected in minimum temperatures in the next 7 days, it will remain around normal. However, in last 24 hours, Safdarjung has experienced a maximum temperature 3.4°C higher than normal which is a sign that days are slowly turning warmer.
The weather be like in Delhi in coming days
The Delhi weather can be expected to experience minor changes in the coming days. On February 12 and 13, the skies are likely to remain clear. However, light fog is expected in the mornings. A slight change in weather could be expected on February 14, as partly cloudy skies may persist over parts of Delhi, along with Ghaziabad, Noida, and Gurugram.
With the onset of a fresh western disturbance, coming over the western Himalayan region, the weather action may be revived around February 13 to 16. Diwali, too, is expected to be pleasant, with the sky cleaning up again by February 15 and 16, while shallow morning fog would persist for some days more.
Delhi’s air pollution situation
Air pollution levels in Delhi have been on the rise. Earlier, the air quality index levels in most places were less than 300. Now, the levels of air quality in more than 10 locations have exceeded 300 and have moved to the “very poor” category.
According to the data from the Central Pollution Control Board, till 4 pm on Tuesday, the worst-hit areas were Mundka and Narela, while the lowest AQI was reported from IHBAS, Mandir Marg.
