New Mobile Medical Unit Introduced to Improve Primary Healthcare Services

Shree Foundation Trust, in collaboration with Aster DM Foundation, has inaugurated the "Shree Swasthya Vahini" Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) at the company's Ras plant as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.

The Mobile Medical Unit has been introduced to provide primary healthcare services in villages around the Ras and Beawar plant areas. The facility is designed to provide facilities such as doctor consultation, medicine dispensing, ECG test facilities, blood pressure and glucose tests, haemoglobin test, diabetic screening and hypertension, eye examination and dental checkups.

According to the organisations, the initiative is expected to serve around 70,000 people over the next four years by improving access to healthcare services in rural areas.

Vishal Bhardwaj, Head – CSR, Shree Cement, said: "Good health is fundamental to individual well-being and community progress. By combining Shree Cement’s commitment to community development with Aster DM Foundation’s healthcare expertise, we hope to create a lasting positive impact and improve health outcomes across the region."

The inauguration programme was attended by representatives from Shree Cement, Aster DM Foundation, and members of the plant teams.

The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to expand access to primary healthcare services in rural communities and strengthen healthcare outreach in areas with limited medical infrastructure.
