Delhi to See Mixed Weather Today with Sun and Rain, Says IMD

Delhi-NCR has been witnessing on-and-off rainfall, with showers reported in several areas over the past 24 hours. The weather turned pleasant in the morning due to rain and strong winds. While the sun came out during the day, cloud cover helped keep the heat under control.

According to the IMD, similar conditions are likely to continue today, with chances of rain accompanied by gusty winds across the region.

Delhi Weather Today

IMD has predicted that Delhi would experience clouded weather conditions with occasional rains. The chances of lightning are also high. Wind velocity will be between 20 and 30 kilometres per hour during the daytime and might go up to 40 kilometres per hour during the evening hours.

The maximum temperature will be 36 degrees Celsius, whereas the minimum temperature will remain around 21 degrees Celsius.

Why Is the Weather Changing?

The change in weather is owing to a strong western disturbance that has caused lightning storms and rainfall in various areas of the city. There was wind speed of 70 kmph on the night of Sunday accompanied by a total rainfall of 13 mm, causing a decline in temperature.

The highest temperatures in Delhi on Monday touched 32.2 Degrees Celsius while there was a low of 19.6 Degrees Celsius.
