India will host GCPRS 2026, Asia's largest plastic recycling and sustainability event, bringing together global industry leaders to promote innovation, circular economy solutions, and sustainable waste management.

India to Host Asia's Biggest Plastic Recycling & Sustainability Expo in 2026

India is set to host GCPRS 2026 – 3rd Global Conference & Exhibition on Plastic Recycling and Sustainability. This is to be the largest conference of its kind in Asia. As India’s market for plastic recycling is predicted to become a market worth ₹60,000 crore by 2035, from the current market size of ₹30,000 crore, the four-day conference that is scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from July 2 to 5, 2026, will give an opportunity to discuss the issues involved in the market.

The event is organised by the All-India Plastic Manufacturers' Association (AIPMA), under the guidance of the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers and the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, in order to promote sustainability in India. The exhibition will cover more than 12,000 sq. metres and feature more than 200 exhibitors representing technology providers, recyclers, policymakers, brand owners, and the environmental community from 12 countries, covering all aspects of the plastic value chain.

Innovations such as collection and segregation, automated sorting, mechanical/chemical recycling, waste to energy technologies will be highlighted as part of this event, in keeping with the “Zero Waste” by the Swachh Bharat Mission. There will be a Recyclates Marketplace that will directly connect recyclers with brand owners and user industries, a Consultants' Clinic for entrepreneurs on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and compliance and an Environment Desk for guidelines on regulatory compliance.

This will be accompanied by an exclusive CEO Roundtable for businesses that cater to the need of 3 million tonnes of quality recycled material and a Science & Technology Cluster comprising of innovative startup businesses in the recycling space, and a two-day Sustainability Forum will also be held.

Under the leadership and guidance of Arvind Mehta, Chairman of GC and Sunil Shah, Member Secretary, AIPMA, GCPRS 2026 aims to support and guide policy conversations towards achieving a circular economy and carbon-neutral growth for India to support the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
