Following the tragic accident that occurred on Mouni Amavasya day at Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, the government led by Yogi Adityanath responded promptly and comprehensively to the well-being of the injured patients. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath monitored the situation himself and issued directions that proper medical attention and assistance must be given to the patients along with their relatives. The facility of SRN Hospital was used to its best, where extended medical services have been free for the patients with all additional essential services including meal and transportations for patients with their relatives.

The patients and their families are really thankful to the hospital staff and the state government for this timely and compassionate move. Several injured ones have already recovered and been released, with no critical ones reported so far. The hospital authorities have stated that transport arrangements were made so that the discharged patients could reach their homes safely.

Among the recovered patients is Sanyogita Yadav, 32 years old and from Jaunpur. Brother, Vivek Yadav, appreciated the free and efficient medical services at SRN Hospital. According to him, all her essential tests such as a CT scan, X-ray, and the rest were performed without charging. She received proper medication on time, and during the course of treatment, good care was also given to the patient. Meal was also served to the caretaker, and the patient was sent back home in an ambulance. He praised the doctors and staff for their dedication and expressed special gratitude to the Yogi government for their care and support. Gauri Sharma, 34 years old from Lucknow, echoed similar sentiments. She said the Mahakumbh event was in general well-managed, but it was unfortunate that this accident occurred. Appreciating quick medical treatment under the CM's instruction, doctors were taking continuous care for the injured.

Most of the patients and their families were grateful for the government response, whereas some still feared foul play. She suspected the incident to be a deliberate act and called for proper investigation. Manorama Devi also described one chaotic moment when around 20 young men entered the crowd all of a sudden, pushing the pilgrims, which proved dangerous. She asked the authorities to look into that aspect and prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.

Ten have already been discharged, and several others would be discharged by the evening," he confirmed.
