The Future of Mobility is Here: DELLORTO at Auto Expo 2025
At AutoExpo 2025, Italian brand DELLORTO showcased its DN4 identity through innovations in motorsport, electric mobility, injection systems, and aftermarket solutions including the launch of the new PHDG carburettor.

At AutoExpo 2025, Italian automotive component manufacturer DELLORTO presented its DN4 identity with a focus on four core innovation areas: Motorsport, Injection, Electric, and Aftermarket. The company’s booth featured key product demonstrations, including the Aprilia 457 and the FANTIC ISSIMO CITY L1 electric scooter, highlighting DELLORTO’s evolution and commitment to tomorrow's mobility.
DELLORTO’s stand was designed to represent its DN4 concept—a fusion of its heritage and future-oriented innovations—through a structured display that allowed visitors to explore its latest advancements in a chronological and thematic format. The booth aimed to demonstrate how the brand continues to integrate passion for motorsports with sustainable technologies.
Motorsport: A Testing Ground for Innovation
In the Motorsport zone, DELLORTO showcased its role as a technological partner in leading racing formats such as MotoGP, Moto3, MotoE, and the Porsche GT3 Supercup. Products such as throttle bodies and electronic control units (ECUs) were on display, emphasizing DELLORTO’s contribution to performance and sustainability in motorsports. The company is also actively engaged in renewable fuel initiatives, including Moto3 engines running on 40% defossilized fuels. From 2025 onwards, DELLORTO’s systems will support fuels with up to 20% renewable content, reflecting its commitment to sustainable racing technologies.
Injection: Cleaner Combustion Solutions
In the Injection section, DELLORTO introduced innovations aimed at making combustion engines cleaner and more responsive. Notably, the new ride-by-wire system—previously exclusive to premium motorcycles—has now been scaled for smaller and medium-sized two-wheelers. Additionally, the company announced a Lite version of the ride-by-cable system, offering more cost-effective options for manufacturers. Other advancements include aerodynamic throttle shafts, innovative bypass systems, and fuel modules designed to support ethanol blends up to 30%, underlining DELLORTO’s efforts to future-proof its fuel systems.
Electric: Expanding Urban Mobility Solutions
DELLORTO’s Electric section focused on its low-voltage (below 60V), air-cooled electric systems with scalable modular architecture. The VID product family (VCU-Inverter-DC/DC) was introduced as a centralized solution integrating multiple control systems. Available in three models—VID165, VID250, and VID360—these systems support vehicles ranging from 45 km/h to 100 km/h.
The electric segment also includes removable batteries designed for household charging, a feature that enhances urban usability. A sophisticated Battery Management System (BMS) allows up to eight batteries to be used in parallel, optimizing performance and autonomy. These systems are now being adopted in industrial, agricultural, and logistics applications, thanks to DELLORTO’s automotive approach. The brand also introduced 12V lithium starter batteries with integrated BMS, contributing to more efficient and lighter engine starts.
Aftermarket: Launch of the PHDG Carburettor
In the Aftermarket section, DELLORTO unveiled the PHDG carburettor, named in honor of Giuseppe Dell'Orto, the company's president. The PHDG is a symbol of the brand’s legacy and innovation, designed for both performance and modern efficiency. It represents a link between DELLORTO's historic expertise in carburation and its drive toward the future of mobility.
Legacy and Vision
With more than 90 years of experience, DELLORTO’s participation at AutoExpo 2025 was not just about product launches but also about reinforcing its brand identity rooted in Italian engineering and global innovation. The DN4 philosophy encapsulates its evolution—past, present, and future—across traditional and electric mobility platforms.
The company emphasized that sustainable progress in mobility cannot be achieved without leveraging accumulated know-how, global partnerships, and technological adaptability. Through innovations in motorsport, combustion, electric, and aftermarket systems, DELLORTO aims to meet the emerging demands of cleaner, smarter, and more efficient transportation.
