Euler Motors and Green Drive Mobility have partnered to deploy 500 electric cargo vehicles across five Indian cities by FY27, supporting the shift towards lower-emission commercial logistics.

Euler Motors and Green Drive Mobility are collaborating to promote the use of electric cargo vehicles in the commercial logistics industry in India. The partnership aims to deploy 500 electric cargo vehicles (ECVs) across five cities by FY27, with a future target of 1,000 vehicles by 2028.

There is already an initial fleet of 50 vehicles in place, operating in logistics networks across Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad, with more vehicles to be added in the near future. The deployment will involve Euler Motors' electric four-wheelers, such as the Euler Motors Storm LR and the Euler Motors Turbo EV 1000, designed to meet the needs of enterprise customers for both mid-mile and last-mile logistics. These vehicles are designed for use in high-utilisation fleet operations, offering higher payload capacity, longer range, faster charging and a lower total cost of ownership.

The fleet also features full API integration, enabling operators to keep track of vehicle performance in real time, optimise uptime and improve operational efficiency.

This collaboration is part of Green Drive Mobility's vision to create one of India's largest technology-powered electric mobility ecosystems for commercial operations. “With the e-commerce and urban delivery segment continuing to grow, it has created a demand for cleaner logistics solutions and we believe that the partnership will reinforce our technology-enabled logistics platform and enhance uptime and efficiency for enterprise customers,” said Sagar Subramani, Chief Operating Officer of Green Drive Mobility.

Vani Rikhy Mehra, Vice-President of Sales at Euler Motors, said the alliance was an important step in the company's growth in the Indian logistics space, and its goal was to enable India's transition towards the adoption of electric commercial vehicles and accelerate the adoption of electric commercial vehicles in the country.

The move is part of India's efforts to reduce emissions and promote more environmentally friendly operations in its logistics and supply chain sectors, where electric commercial vehicles are expected to play an important role in reducing freight-related emissions. The partnership, which focuses on real-time data integration, high uptime and reduced operational expenses, reflects the growing adoption of technology-enabled electric logistics solutions as more companies pursue the electrification of their logistics.
